Below are a few common question we receive.
Q: How long does it take to test an
appliance?
A: This depends on the equipment in question but usually no more
than two minutes is required to fully test and inspect an item.
Q: Do we have to power down computer
equipment for testing.
A: In short, yes as we need to be able to test the equipment whilst
powered down and fully inspect the cables/plugs etc.
Q: Does the testing cause a lot of disruption? A: Our engineers are very discrete but a level of disruption will be noticed as we ask individuals to power down certain pieces of equipment for testing. This is un avoidable unless a form of out of office hours testing is possible. However we will try to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum. Working closely with site contacts to arrange suitable power down times.
Q: Do you have a minimum level of items before you will do our testing? A: No we will carry out any volumes of PAT Testing, please see our prices page.
Q: Are any extra charges going to be applied for travel/accommodation? A: In short No, we only charge our per item rates, no extra's.
